Robert and Emily Rice are providing the theme for this week's meal:

Sweet and Savory Waffles!!

Apparently waffles aren't just for breakfast.  So we'll enjoy a variety of gourmet treats together.

The Rices are providing waffles and sour cream.  The Barbers are providing a pound or two of bacon, sliced tomatoes, and peanut butter.  What delicacy will you bring?  For more ideas, visit http://wafflewindow.com/ and check out their menu.

Also, hopefully, you've had a chance to check out IAmPeople.org and looked at the opportunities for follow-up with dozens of people in our community.  Let's talk about how we might be a blessing to some of our neighbors through this great tool.  If you'd like a reminder about how to access the site, or what it is all about, please give Tony or Cathy a call.

See you soon!

  3. I should also add that we will also bring gluten-free waffles for anyone who needs them. Please let us know in your post if you are GF. (I will make paleo waffles, Ashley and Josh! http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/grain-free-goodies/easy-paleo-waffles-freezable-too/)

  4. Those look intense, Robert! Thanks for finding them.
I know we briefly talked about this before, but my only concern would be cross contamination with the waffle maker. It won't be a problem for Josh, but I will have to skip out. Which is NO problem!

    1. OK! I'm still going to make them and cook them on our (very) contaminated waffle iron. :) Josh can tell you how they are and if they're worth making again. I will probably knock on your door tomorrow to ask for a tablespoon of coconut flour...

You're probably right about contamination because now that I think about it, I'm going to use our mixer and I know I can't get that perfectly wheat-free.. :(

  6. Hi all! I am new to Colossae and would love to visit your community group. This meal sounds fantastic and I can't wait to meet you all :). I can bring turkey sausage or anything else that would be helpful?
