Did you know that March 28th is "Something on a Stick Day"? It is. It really is! So how could we do anything for dinner but... FOODS ON A STICK! I know some of you have done this before, with mixed results, but we can make this awesome. A popular source on this fascinating holiday says
"So what comes on a stick? Practically anything. The first thing that comes to
mind is popsicles and fudgecicles. Hotdogs are poplar on a stick at campfires.
There's also corndogs, and shrimp and many chinese treats. Cocktail wieners and
cheese are picked and eaten on a stick(a toothpick). You can also get just about anything on a stick when receiving food samples
at a store or festival."
So, this really isn't very limiting at all. Take the challenge! Use your imagination! We're not sure what we'll provide yet, but we are all in on this one. Hoping you will be too. See you soon!
WOOT! We found some great stuff for chicken satay at Cash n Carry, so we'll do that and provide steamed rice. Add to it - this should be fun :)
ReplyDeleteEm and I have some delicious ice cream cake that we will be crafting into cake-sicles. Or cake pops, or whatever. And we have some spicy peanut sauce that will go great with that chicken satay, so we can bring that, too, if needed.
ReplyDeleteWe have the peanut sauce Robert, no need. Just bring those cakesicles and your bad selves!
DeleteThe Petersons will bring fresh fruit kabobs!
